• User-Generated Content: We store the information you create within the app, including trip/group details, expense amounts, settlement records, checklists, and tasks. This data is essential for the functionality of split billing and group expense tracking.
• Device & Usage Data: We may collect basic diagnostic information, device push tokens (for notifications), and crash logs to improve app performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To set up and maintain your user account.
• To synchronize group expenses, settlements, and splits among members of your shared trips/groups.
• To send important push notifications about expense changes, group updates, and tasks.
• To troubleshoot issues, analyze app performance, and prevent fraud.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

Gallo is a collaborative group expense sharing application. Accordingly, your username, email address, and profile photo, along with any trip expenses and settlements you record, will be visible to other members of the groups/trips you join. We do not sell or lease your personal information to third-party advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase cloud services (Firebase Auth, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage). We apply industry-standard security practices to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion of your records. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or cloud storage is 100% secure.

5. Account & Data Deletion

We respect your right to manage your data. You can delete your account and associated personal information at any time:

• Inside the App: Go to the Profile / Settings screen and select the "Delete Account" option.
• Via Request: You can contact us at support or through our database portal to request complete deletion of your authentication credentials and database profile.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
